What are the Terra Shorts?
They're an updated version of Montane's long-standing favourite, the Terra Shorts. The update sees a refreshed and timeless aesthetic, so these fantastic shorts will never go out of style. The pockets are now zippered, allowing you to tackle any adventure without worrying about losing your belongings mid-adventure.
Easy to wear and highly comfortable, the Terra Shorts are super versatile shorts ideal for all manner of outdoor activities, everyday wear and casual occasions in warm climates.
What are they made from?
The Terra Shorts are constructed from Tactel® nylon, which feels soft to the touch, almost like cotton, providing lasting comfort for long adventures. Tactel® nylon is a lightweight and packable fabric that's also highly breathable, helping it to regulate temperature and keep you comfortable when working up a sweat, making it an ideal choice for travelling, trekking and scrambling. Montane have finished the shorts with a PFC-Free DWR (durable water repellent) coating to help the fabric shed light rain. However, please note this does not make the shorts waterproof.
What are their features?
The microfleece-lined waistband feels exceptionally soft on the skin without adding too much weight or bulk. An adjustable woven belt with a metal buckle helps you dial in the fit, ensuring that your shorts won't start slipping down mid-hike. The belt can easily be removed for those who prefer not to use a belt during outdoor activities. A gusset precision fit helps ensure excellent mobility for hiking, scrambling and climbing by taking the pressure off vital seams, reducing the worry of any short-splitting incidents.
The zipped fly and press button closure are secure and easy to use when nature calls. Just make sure you fasten them back up afterwards.
There are two mesh-lined zipped hand pockets and a rear pocket to give you multiple storage options for small essentials like trail snacks, a mobile phone or GPS device, and one zipped rear pocket ideal for safely stowing your wallet. The mesh-lined pockets also double up as ventilation for the shorts if required- you can simply leave them unzipped to allow airflow through the mesh.
