What are the Super Couloir Gauntlet gloves?
The Super Couloir gloves are fully waterproof, ultra-dexterous gloves made with a reliable Gore-Tex® membrane and durable materials. They're perfect for cold-weather climbing and mountaineering.
What are they made of?
The outer is made using M.E's own Exolite 210 softshell fabric. Exolite is a robust, double-weave softshell made with polyamide and elastane. Lab-tested and field-tested, Exolite is proven to be incredibly durable, completely windproof and worthy of wear in any season.
To increase durability, the palm, back of the hand and thumb use patches of Pittards® Armortan® Goatskin leather. This leather is far more resistant to abrasion and will increase dexterity when using tools/ropes due to its softer nature.
Behind this, a Gore-Tex® membrane provides total waterproof protection without compromising breathability to prevent moisture build up (from sweat/condensation) inside.
On the inside, the back of the hand is lined with a fibre pile lining, adding valuable warmth in sub-zero temperatures. The inner palm uses a thinner, but still fairly warm, microfleece to maintain dexterity whilst lowering bulk.
What are their features?
A gauntlet design adds further protection - you can seal the design with the drawcord for complete weather resistance. Wrist tethers help keep the gloves safe but can be removed if you're feeling brave. Lastly, there are a couple of handy loops on the fingers to clip to a carabiner when not in use.
