What is the Sakata Twin Coat?
It's a two-in-one piece that offers plenty of warmth with waterproof, windproof protection. The Sakata Twin Coat is versatile and stylish enough for urban, everyday life and casual outdoor activities. You could wear it commuting to work, doing the weekly shop, or for a leisurely dog walk around your local woodlands.
What is it made of?
The outer is made of durable, lightweight, partly recycled polyester and treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) that encourages rain and snow to bead off the fabric instead of soaking in. If you're unsure, PFC-free means it hasn't used per-fluorinated chemicals that harm the environment - a much greener choice than conventional treatments!
The fleece jacket inside is made from recycled polyester. Though recycled, this material doesn't skimp on quality! It feels soft next to the skin and is guaranteed to keep you warm all day long.
What are its features?
It has a handy detachable hood that allows you to remove the extra weight and bulk when it's not needed. The hood is secured with velcro and can be adjusted at the front and rear, allowing you to optimise the fit to suit your head size and shape comfortably.
The jacket is fastened with a two-way front zip covered by a double storm flap that reinforces weather resistance. You can close to storm flap with the subtle velcro patches, also giving you the option to secure the front without having to do the zip for extra ventilation. At the top of the zip, the chin guard keeps your skin from catching to enhance comfort.
A drawstring at the waist allows you to cinch in the fit and retain more heat inside.
Sleeves are articulated to fit the arms more naturally and offer better freedom of movement. The cuffs are also adjustable with velcro straps, allowing you to adapt them around chunky gloves or mitts in colder weather.
For storage, there are two softly lined hand pockets with water repellent zips, suitable for keeping your hands warm or storing essentials like a mobile phone or doggy bags. An inside pocket offers more security for valuable belongings, such as keys or a purse.
The inner jacket has a stand-up collar that feels super cosy when pulled up and gives you that extra bit of warmth for nippy days. It has a smooth outside with a lightly brushed inside that feels luxurious next to the skin.
It also has two covered hand pockets with zip fastenings, so even if you wear it as a standalone piece, you'll have some handy storage options.
The inner jacket is finished with a side logo application that looks tidy and smart.
