What are the Boulder 125 Leggings?
They are luxuriously soft and warm technical baselayer leggings created from the same lightweight, innovative Nuyarn Merino fabric as the rest of Artilect's Boulder 125 range. They're designed to provide high-performance warmth and breathability in varying conditions for fast-paced mountain adventures but are equally suitable to boost warmth when hiking, rambling, climbing and walking the dog in winter.
What are they made from?
The Boulder 125 Leggings are made from Nuyarn Merino material which uses a blend of Merino wool and nylon. Merino wool is renowned for being naturally odour-resistant, durable, breathable and moisture-wicking.
Nuyarn technology enhances the performance of merino wool by using a patented twist-free process to construct the yarns instead of traditional spinning methods. It drafts the fibres along a high-performance filament, which amplifies its natural properties for unparalleled performance, offering superior next-to-skin benefits. It has a 5x faster drying time and 35% more stretch and loft (lessening the weight). Nuyarn is also 53% less wind permeable and 50% more durable than standard merino, and it still uses 30% less raw materials! Pretty impressive, huh?
What are their features?
The Boulder 125 leggings feel exceptionally soft next to the skin and are comfortable enough to wear for practically any activity. They're so comfy that you won't want to take them off! Thankfully their natural odour resistance means you can wear them for longer between washes without offending your campmates.
A gusseted crotch made from air-permeable eyelet knit provides increased breathability and range of movement to the leggings without compromising their thermal performance, allowing you to tackle steep inclines and negotiate challenging terrain. It also makes it easier to sit and squat down to cook and relax at basecamp in cold conditions when you'll be wearing your baselayers continuously for multiple days and only braving your skin to the cold when nature calls.
No-chafe flatlock seams reduce the bulk and prevent the stitching from rubbing uncomfortably against the skin whilst wearing it for long periods of time, making them perfect for long trails and multi-day adventures across the seasons.
