What are the Merino 260 Tech Thermal Leggings?
They're midweight baselayer leggings made from 100% Merino wool; they're naturally temperature-regulating and odour resistant, making them perfect for everything from fast-paced winter mountain sports to relaxing chilly evenings at basecamp.
What are they made from?
The 260 Tech Thermal Leggings from Icebreaker are lightweight and super comfy. They are constructed using a midweight 260g/m² 100% Merino fabric.
When you are warm, the wool transports moisture away from the skin and the evaporation of this moisture helps to cool you down; however, the merino fibres also contain millions of tiny air pockets that retain body heat to maintain your body temperature when the weather turns cold.
Merino wool is naturally free of plastic microfibres and petrochemical-based synthetics. The pure Merino fibres are hand-picked for strength and softness to create a luxurious fabric that naturally breathes. It's also naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable under certain conditions.
To top it all off, Merino wool is also naturally odour resistant as bacteria cannot hold onto the surface of the fibres and therefore, it can't sit, multiply and create bad smells, making these baselayer leggings suitable to be worn for long periods or multi-days at a time.
What are their features?
With a minimal feature set, the 260 Tech Leggings feature a gusseted construction for unrestricted movement and a soft brushed elastic waistband with flatlock seams for chafe-free comfort when worn for long periods.
How do they fit?
The 260 Tech Leggings are designed as a next-to-skin baselayer and therefore feature a 'slim' fit which means they're designed to sit snug to your body without being restrictive. This is so they can trap warmth when the temperatures drop and wick sweat away from your body when you're working hard.
