The Oasis Leggings are a high-performance (and superbly comfortable) pair of pure Merino Wool leggings - Merino provides temperature regulation, odour control and moisture management for cold weather activities.
What are they made of?
The Oasis Leggings from Icebreaker are lightweight and super comfy. Using a200g/m² pure merino rib-knit fabric, Icebreaker are one of only a few companies in the world that use the best quality, superfine merino fibres in their garments; this results in a non-itchy quality not normally associated with woollen fabrics. When you are warm the wool transports moisture away from the skin and the evaporation of this moisture helps to cool you down; however, the merino fibres also contain millions of tiny air pockets that retain body heat to maintain your body temperature when the weather turns cold.
Merino wool is also naturally odour resistant as bacteria cannot hold onto the surface of the merino fibres, therefore it can't sit and multiply to create bad smells.
How do they fit?
The Oasis features a 'slim' fit which means they're designed to sit snug to your body without being restrictive. This is so it can both trap warmth when the temperatures drop, but also wick sweat away from your body when you're working hard. The design features a gusseted construction for unrestricted movement and a brushed elastic waistband and flatlock seams for chafe-free comfort.
