What is the Coefficient LY Hybrid Hoodie?
It's a lighter-weight version of the BD Coefficient Fleece, designed for high-output activities such as alpine approaches, backcountry tours and mountain runs. This hybrid hoodie features stretchier materials, lighter fabrics and added insulation where you need it.
What is it made of?
This fleece is primarily made with bluesign®* approved Polartec Power Grid®. Polartec Power Grid® fleece comprises polyester and spandex, offering premium stretch and softness. This material uses a unique, bi-component patented knit that strengthens performance efficiency by increasing warmth and breathability. The knit uses geometric patterns that help improve packability and moisture-wicking performance, helping to avoid sweat or condensation build-up if you're working hard.
It's lined with a lightweight, stretchy, woven nylon material that feels smooth on the skin and helps to reinforce durability without compromising breathability and weight.
Strategically placed PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation offers vital warmth where required, leaving other fleece panels bare to help improve airflow and temperature regulation for fast-paced adventures. Primaloft® Silver is a synthetic insulation that provides a high-performance alternative to natural down. Though a little heavier than down, this insulation mimics the warmth and feel of down clusters/feathers, giving almost all the same benefits. On the plus side, it also retains its loft and warmth when wet (unlike down, which loses all loft, and therefore loses all heat), breathes superbly, has no allergens, compresses easily and dries exceptionally quickly.

What are its features?
A DWR (durably water resistant) reverse coil, centre-front zip ensures rain and snow won't seep through the fastening when exposed to poor conditions.
Long sleeves provide ample coverage and have subtle thumb loops at each end to keep your sleeves in place when reaching for a hold or putting another layer over the top.
Thanks to its breathable, low-bulk construction, the under-helmet hood fits comfortably underneath a climbing helmet.
Gussets underneath each arm improve mobility and give you a more comprehensive range of movement around the arms and shoulders while taking the stress away from vital seams so they don't end up tearing.
For storage, there's a zipped chest pocket, ideal for holding a ski pass, energy gels, snacks or a mobile phone, keeping your items accessible at all times. The placement of this pocket also makes belongings easy to reach when wearing an insulative layer or shell jacket over the top, as it's placed closely in line with the centre zip.
A minimal profile and slim cut make this hoodie the ideal fleece for layering during autumn and winter. However, its lightweight nature is also versatile enough to wear as an outer layer for shoulder seasons or summer evenings in camp.
