The pullover is made of 100% recycled polyester fleece. It weighs 255 grams per square meter, meaning it's thick enough to keep you warm but still lightweight and breathable. By incorporating recycled polyester into their designs, Cotopaxi is breathing new life into materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. This approach reduces waste, helps conserve resources and minimises bad environmental impact.
The colourful stripes on the pullover are made from 100% deadstock polyester taffeta. "Deadstock" means this material was leftover from other production processes and would have ended up in landfills.Instead, Cotopaxi repurposed it to add some stylish flair to your fleece. The stripes also feature a C0 DWR (durable water-repellent) finish. This helps the material repel light rain and moisture, keeping you more dry.
Additionally, this Teca fleece is made without intentionally added PFAS chemicals, which are often used in waterproofing but can harm the environment.
