What is the Abisko Trail Fleece?
It's a lightweight, packable, multi-use fleece designed to keep you warm and comfy without the extra bulk. The strategic construction and moisture wicking properties of the Abisko Trail make it versatile enough for every season, and virtually any activity, from backpacking and trekking to heading to work or relaxing at home.
What is it made of?
The fleece is made with partially recycled polyester yarn and uses two different fabric styles.
Flat-knitted fleece on the hood, shoulders and chest is much more durable and less likely to wear or pile when wearing a backpack.
A grid-structured fleece, thinner than the flat-knit but made from the same polyester, on the lower sleeves, sides and lower torso, enhances comfort and reduces bulk where it's not needed. Thanks to this structure, this fleece can effectively wick away moisture from sweat and condensation, helping to keep you comfortable and regulate your temperature when working hard. It also dries quickly, so if you get caught in a sudden shower, you won't be left feeling soggy for the rest of the day.
What are its features?
A snug-fitting hood keeps the warmth in and the wind out. At the back of the hood is a clever little hole to thread your ponytail through when wearing your hair up to prevent it from uncomfortably pushing down into your head.
One chest pocket and two hand pockets, all secured with zip fastenings, also make room for essentials like trail snacks, energy gels, a mobile phone, keys or cash.
The Abisko Trail has a slim fit to dial down the bulk. Though slim, it's neither uncomfortable nor unflattering, and it sure makes it easier to layer a down or shell jacket, or both, over the top!
