What is the Shroud Hooded Jacket?
It's a midweight fleece primarily designed for cold-weather mountaineering and ski-touring, yet suitable for climbing, hiking, hill-walking, or casual errands during winter.
What is it made of?
This fleece is made with Cycloknit fabric, which comprises recycled polyester, polyester, and elastane. It feels soft, stretchy, and comfortable enough for technical mountain missions and daily pursuits.
Cycloknit has wind-resistant properties to provide extra weather protection and amplify warmth without the extra bulk, making it perfect for layering underneath a shell jacket.
Mountain Equipment works with FairWear to ensure safe, ethical working conditions in their factories, helping to protect workers' rights while being considerate and responsible with their processes.
What are its features?
The elastane-bound hood sits closely around the face to help avoid gaping and seal in some extra warmth.
A centre-front zip facilitates access, and two zipped hand pockets provide ample storage for small essentials, such as trail snacks or doggy bags. An extra chest pocket is also useful for stowing a mobile phone, GPS device, or gloves, keeping them within reach.
The Active Fit of this jacket is slimmer and sits closer to the body to make it easy to build into a layering system. The Shroud works well as a midlayer or could even be worn as a wind-resistant outer layer on dry days when the weather is milder.
