What is the Core+ Hoodie?

It's an incredibly light and air-permeable, insulative midlayer that offers the warmth of a technical fleece but with less than half the weight and pack size. It's fantastic for fast-paced adventures in cold conditions when minimal weight and pack size are key.

What is it made from?

OMM has constructed the Core+ Hoodie from midweight 125g/m2 PrimaLoft® ACTIVE insulating fabric, which delivers the warmth of a technical fleece with less than half the weight and pack size. PrimaLoft® ACTIVE is made from 64% post-consumer recycled material, and it is also BlueSign and Oeke-Tex approved.

This PrimaLoft® ACTIVE technology weaves PrimaLoft® fibres onto a stretchy mesh, giving it a super high volume and open structure, reducing the need for extra fabric layers. This allows the materials to trap pockets of warm air to keep you cosy while remaining exceptionally air-permeable. A light breeze easily moves excess heat and regulates your temperature so you don't overheat when moving fast. PrimaLoft® ACTIVE is highly effective at trapping heat, allowing it to work fantastically with a light shell jacket or windproof layer in cold climates. When you get too hot, you can either unzip or remove the shell and keep pushing hard to the summit without having a bulky midlayer to try and stash in your minimal pack.

What are its features?

The Core+ Hoodie has a minimal feature set to keep weight and bulk to a minimum. It does, however, feature a soft, snug-fitting hood, flacklocked seams throughout and off-set shoulder seams for comfort when wearing a running vest or backpack. The hoodie is finished with a reflective logo on the arm to aid visibility in low-light settings.
