What are the Crocodile Gaiters?
They're durable, waterproof gaiters designed to provide extra protection from wet weather, bogs, and snow when hiking, trekking, and adventuring outdoors. Now updated with the latest ePE Gore-Tex® technology and a slimmer profile to fit modern boot styles.
What are they made from?
These gaiters are created from a combination of 70D ePE Gore-Tex® 3L plain weave nylon, 1000D Cordura 2L woven nylon foot panel, and a 420D Pack cloth lining with a PU coating to offer reliable protection against the elements.
ePE Gore-Tex® 3L uses the latest membrane from Gore-Tex®, which has been created to be free of harmful PFC/PFAS chemicals which are used in the creation of traditional waterproof clothing. PFCs are per or poly-fluorinated chemicals, aka 'forever chemicals' that stay permanently in the environment and cause lasting damage to our ecosystems. This ePE membrane still delivers exceptional waterproof protection without compromising breathability to keep you comfortable no matter the conditions whilst being manufactured in a more environmentally responsible way. The material is also bluesign® approved, ensuring that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
Abrasion-resistant 1000D Cordura 2-layer nylon panels reinforce high-wear areas and are incredibly durable, making these gaiters suitable for use in more rugged terrain. The nylon-woven foot panels and a 420D Pack cloth lining help enhance the longevity of these gaiters without jeopardising performance, weight, or bulk.
What are their features?
Thanks to their robust construction, durable TPU instep straps help keep the gaiters secure with less risk of snapping, wearing down, or breaking. Should the worst happen, the TPU instep strap is replaceable and can even be fixed out on the hill for peace of mind and reliability, allowing these gaiters to last years of use in rugged terrain.
An abrasion-resistant Cordura® lower exterior and lower Pack cloth-lined boot are incredibly durable and protective, offering reassurance in nasty weather and harsh terrain.
A double-stitched front closure is incredibly secure and reliable and can hold the gaiter together sufficiently; it uses a quick and easy hook-and-loop fastening. An adjustable cam lock secures the top hem above the calf, allowing you to tailor the fit around various trouser styles.
