What are the Soloist Gloves?
The Soloist Gloves are durable, waterproof, and insulated gloves designed for technical alpine adventures during winter. They're tough enough to endure heavy use in rugged terrain or when handling ropes and equipment.
What are they made of?
The Soloist Gloves are technically made in two parts—they have a waterproof outer and an insulated inner glove.
The outer is made with 100% recycled shell fabrics that feature a light stretch for freedom of movement. It also features a BD.dry™ membrane to deliver complete waterproof protection and breathability. The palm of these gloves has goat leather reinforcements, enhancing durability and longevity without adding excessive weight to the design.
The materials are finished with GTT Empel™ DWR (durable water repellent). Green Theme Technologies Empel™ DWR takes a much more responsible approach to water-repellent treatments, being completely free of water, palm oil and PFC pollutants to lessen its environmental impact without compromising performance and durability.
The removable liner contains PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation with Cross Core on the back of the hand and PrimaLoft® Gold with Grip Control for added warmth. It also features a soft fleece lining that feels super cosy next to the skin.
Primaloft® Gold with Crosscore technology is a woven synthetic insulation. It is the Gold standard of Primaloft™ insulation, providing the ultimate level of warmth compared to other fibres. The technically advanced fibres are infused with Aerogel technology, which is used by NASA and acclaimed for its ultra-lightweight yet ultra-insulative properties.
PrimaLoft® Gold with Grip Control performs similarly to regular PrimaLoft® Gold. It’s a woven, synthetic insulation that provides exceptional heat levels even when wet, yet has added slip resistance to help give you more grip under the hand.
What are their features?
A soft nose wipe on the rear of the thumb does exactly what it says on the tin—it allows you to wipe your nose! A long gauntlet provides extra protection in cold, damp conditions, while the drawcord seals the gloves up while climbing to prevent debris from entering.
