What is the P-6 Logo Trucker Hat?

What is it made of?
The brim of this hat is made with Bureo's fully traceable NetPlus® material. NetPlus® is Bureo's signature material. It's made from post-consumer recycled fishing nets, meaning it helps reduce one of the most harmful forms of ocean plastic pollution while still empowering fishing communities worldwide. The material is fully traceable and created in partnership with fishermen and women to provide a more circular solution for end-of-life nets, reducing the amount of plastic entering the ocean and making the most of what is otherwise an incredibly precious resource and usable material.
At the front, you'll find organic cotton panelling, and on the rear, a recycled polyester mesh back, which, again, helps reduce environmental impact by keeping valuable resources in the loop. And no, before you ask, this doesn't make the hat less durable. An organic cotton canvas headband inside also promotes comfort for all-day wear with a soft next-to-skin feel. Using organic cotton also helps eliminate pesticide and chemical use within the cotton-farming process.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? Patagonia pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory. The program also promotes worker health and safety, and social and environmental compliance, while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.
