What is the Approach Down Hoodie?

What is it made of?
This jacket uses a lightweight yet durable nylon outer face and lining, providing reassurance for rocky adventures and missions in rugged terrain. The material is finished with GTT Empel™ DWR (durable water-repellent), and the jacket is filled using 800-fill power, RDS-certified, Allied HyperDRY™ Goose Down insulation, making it super warm and incredibly packable.

GTT Empel™ - Green Theme Technologies Empel™ DWR takes a much more sustainable approach to water-repellent treatments, being completely free of water, palm oil and PFC pollutants to lessen its environmental impact without compromising performance and durability.
Goose Down - Goose Down is some of the highest quality down on the current market, as it has a naturally higher fill power than duck down, making this product incredibly warm, light, and efficient, ensuring you get every bang for your buck.
800 Fill power - Fill power measures the warmth and efficiency of the down, alongside its ability to loft/fluff up. A rating of 800 fill power means that 1oz of this down fills 800 cubic inches of space when fully lofted.
R.D.S - The Responsible Down Standard ensures that the down is sourced from happy birds who haven't been plucked and have been well cared for.
Allied HyperDRY™ - This is a treatment added to the down insulation to enhance water resistance in case you get caught in a brief rain or snow shower (please note, this does not make it fully waterproof). HyperDRY™ treatments are fluorocarbon-free yet still prove effective at resisting light water, ensuring that this jacket will still provide some warmth when damp at a lesser cost to the environment.
What are its features?
The hood is insulated and adjustable. You can adjust the fit using the single-pull drawcord adjuster, which is designed to make it easy to adapt, even when you've got your hands full, as you can operate the adjuster with just one hand. The hood and cuffs also have an elasticated opening that cinches the material closer to you, sealing the warmth inside.
At the front, you get a slim centre-front zipper for easy on-and-off. The slim nature of the zip also makes it easy to pack away or stuff into a backpack.
For storage, there are two zipped hand pockets and a zipped chest pocket for small essentials, such as a mobile phone, GPS, snacks, and energy gels.
You can pack the entire jacket away into the hand pocket for an easy, compact storage solution. Inside the pocket, you'll find a carabiner loop that allows you to hook the jacket onto a harness or backpack (when packed away), keeping it within reach at all times.
Lastly, this jacket fits slim, allowing you to slide layers on top easily.
