What is the Westlands Fairisles Crew?
It's a cosy crew neck jumper that combines the best of traditional outdoor fashion with sustainable performance fabrics. The Fairisles Crew is perfect for casual outdoor adventures, country lifestyles and general, everyday wear, whether you're hill walking, doing the weekly shop or even embracing winter festivities.
What is it made of?
This jumper comprises a blend of sustainable SeaWool® with non-mulesed merino wool to create a soft, eco-friendly material.
Merino wool is naturally odour resistant, thermoregulating, warm and durable, providing all the functions you'll need when venturing outdoors and even keeping you comfortable closer to home.
If you weren't sure, non-mulesed, or mulesing-free wool, means that the wool has been sourced from happy sheep who haven't had to endure painful mulesing procedures to produce it.
SeaWool® combines recycled polyester derived from plastic water bottles and pulverised oyster shells from Taiwan farms that would otherwise be going to landfill. It helps reduce waste and overall environmental impact, lessening the demand for raw materials. The recycled polyester delivers fast drying, wrinkle free performance and odour resistance, while the oyster shell insulates and bizarrely provides a soft, wool-like texture and eliminates static.
What are its features?
You might have noticed that it has a crew neckline, making it easy to layer with a shirt for a smarter look or t-shirt if you're going casual. This jumper also has a lovely Fairisle print, very fitting for the wintertime. Some may say it even looks a little festive.
