What are they made of?
They're made of soft merino wool blended with nylon and Lycra Spandex® to create the perfect all-round material that offers both durability and functionality.
Merino wool is known for its natural odour resistance and moisture-wicking properties, so no matter what shoes you wear, you won't have to put up with clammy, sweaty feet throughout the day. It's highly breathable, promoting temperature regulation to suit any season and low in weight and bulk for comfort.
How cushioned are they?
These micro crew hiking socks feature soft terry loops underfoot and targeted protection over the ankle and Achilles, which provides just the right amount of light cushioning throughout the sock.

Created in a micro crew design, these socks are around 7.5 inches from the heel to the cuff. Their performance fit helps prevent them from slipping down your feet or bunching under your shoes while running for the bus.
They are lightly cushioned with versatile terry loop cushioning, providing extra padding over the ankle and Achilles for longer days.
In true Darn Tough style, these lovely socks are still made at their VT-based Mills (Vermont, USA), honouring their brand heritage and ensuring traditional, ethical practices within their manufacturing process.
