What are the Alpine Light Pants?
Thanks to their versatile construction and functional design, the Alpine Light Pants are lightweight trousers suited to three-season use, whether rock climbing, alpine exploring, or even running general day-to-day errands.
What are they made of?
These trousers are made of four-way stretch material that comprises nylon and elastane for ample comfort and durability to withstand tough, rugged terrain. The four-way stretch enhances freedom of movement tenfold to help you reach the next foothold or move more dynamically through the mountains. Nylon provides longevity without excessive weight and bulk and feels smooth against the skin, ensuring all-day comfort.
The material is finished with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to provide water resistance without using harmful forever chemicals that damage our precious environment. Though water resistant, this doesn't mean they're 100% waterproof! So, if the forecast is wet, you best wear a shell layer over the top, unless you don't mind getting a little soggy.
What are their features?
A midrise cut and stretchy knit waistband provide plenty of coverage without restriction, allowing you to move unhindered, even when wearing a backpack or climbing harness. These trousers also feature an adjustable webbing belt that will enable you to alter and dial in the fit of the trousers to achieve a precise fit every time.
Articulated knees provide more mobility at the joints, and a gusseted inseam takes the pressure off vital seams to help prevent an embarrassing split trouser moment on the wall!
The Alpine Light Pants have front drop-in pockets, one rear drop-in pocket and a right-side zipped pocket to deliver an array of storage options for small essentials such as snacks, energy gels, keys, a mobile phone or even finger tape for long days on the rock.
A slim fit allows for precise footwork by reducing the volume of material around the legs, giving you more moving room while reducing the risk of snagging these pants on jagged rock.
