What are the Aenergy SO Hybrid Pants?
They're lightweight hybrid softshell trousers that provide maximum comfort and versatility for mountain adventures, whether skiing, ski-touring, mountaineering or trekking for multiple days during winter.
What are they made of?
These trousers are constructed using Mammut SOFTech, made of 40D lightweight double weave material. It's incredibly abrasion resistant and can withstand a beating in rugged terrain without being overly weighty or bulky for warmer, calmer conditions.
This highly elastic material provides a lovely stretch to enhance freedom of movement for more technical ascents. Though a double-weave material, it's breathable and quick drying to help keep you comfortable when working up a sweat.
A recycled, four-way stretch double weave stormfleece is combined with the softshell face, creating a lightweight, durable, and warm hybrid. This fleece uses a waffle structure that enhances moisture wicking by using tiny, thinner grid sections that allow air to pass through against thicker panels that retain warmth.
A PFC-free durable water repellent encourages water spills or light rain showers to bead off the fabric's surface instead of soaking in. However, this does not make it waterproof. PFC-free treatments are also much healthier for the planet as they don't use harmful per-fluorinated chemicals, aka 'forever chemicals' that stay in the environment after use.
To top it all off, the material and treatment are bluesign® approved, and this product has been created in conjunction with FairWear standards.

What are the features?
Stretchy stormfleece inserts are added to the back of the thighs and knees for enhanced freedom of movement and improved temperature regulation.
An elasticated waistband with a drawstring adjuster allows you to get a precise fit every time without feeling uncomfortable and restricted.
Two slit pockets with a zip fastening are subtle yet provide ample storage for small essentials like a compass, trail snacks, energy gels or mobile phone.
Zipped side ventilation can be used to dump heat and increase airflow when you're working hard, whilst the pre-shaped knees provide more mobility around the joints for stepping high.
Reinforcement patches made with durable Cordura® help prevent crampons from snagging or tearing your trousers as you walk. Cordura® is also placed around the edges to increase longevity and resist abrasion from jagged rocks and scree.
Asymmetrically shaped hems optimise the fit over mountaineering boots whilst reducing overall bulk around the lower leg. The leg hem also features a gusset with zip and anti-slip webbing to help keep them in place for long mountain days.
