What are they made of?
These trousers comprise Mammut SOFTech™, which is a double-weave softshell material that feels smooth against the skin. It uses partly recycled material, is super durable and can resist abrasion well, making it ideal for wearing in rugged or rocky terrain.
The material is treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to enhance weather protection without using harmful forever chemicals that cause harm to our ecosystems.
The fabric is also bluesign® approved, meaning it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.

What are their features?
The Eiger Nordwand Light SO Trousers feature an elasticated waistband with a drawstring adjuster that allows you to dial in the fit every time.
Two zipped climbing harness-compatible side pockets and a zipped leg pocket are ideal for keeping small essentials handy, such as a mobile phone, GPS, energy gels or snacks.
A gusseted crotch provides ample freedom of movement where it's needed most. The gusset helps to take pressure off vital seams that may otherwise burst, helping to prevent an embarrassing split-trouser moment on the mountain!
The pre-shaped knees also make space for the joints to move fully, while an elasticated ankle hem pulls in the fabric around chunky boots without feeling uncomfortable and restricting blood flow.
