What are the Tucana Lite Shorts?
They're durable, multi-purpose shorts for summer mountain activities, whether hiking, scrambling or running to reach the summit. Thanks to their stretchy materials, the Tucana Lite Shorts offer plenty of flexibility and feel smooth against the skin for all-day wear.
What are they made of?
These shorts are primarily made of Granite Stretch Lite, which is both lightweight and highly abrasion and wind resistant. As you may have guessed, Granite Stretch Lite is super stretchy, making it ideal for steep ascents or more technical scrambles where you need a higher range of movement. It feels smooth against the skin and comfortable enough to wear for longer periods or multi-day trips.
The material is coated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), which enhances water resistance without using chemicals that are harsh to the environment.
The waistband is made of a different material - Mala Lissom nylon. This fabric feels extremely smooth against the skin, improves comfort around the midsection and enhances flexibility.
What are their features?
The deep stretch waistband offers a great amount of coverage to keep you feeling confident and supported without being tight or restrictive.
Surprisingly, you get a good amount of storage with these shorts - two hand pockets and a rear zipped pocket, ideal for carrying trail snacks, energy gels or a mobile phone.
Finally, they come in a 'Trim Fit', which sits closer to the skin to minimise dead space and keep the weight down.
