What are the Syma Pants?
The Syma Pants are stretchy softshell trousers designed with a slim fit to offer optimum performance and comfort for long days in the mountains. They are incredibly versatile and work well for hiking, scrambling, trekking or even everyday use closer to home.
What are they made of?
M.E has selected Exolite 225 to construct these trousers. This fabric is extremely durable, lightweight, breathable, fast-drying and stretchy, making it just as suited towards summer scrambles alongside long days walking or running errands around town. This fabric is treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to make them repel light rain without using harmful perfluorinated chemicals, aka 'forever chemicals'.
What are their features?
These trousers are in Mountain Equipment's 'Active Fit' bracket, meaning they sit tighter on the body (but not uncomfortably) to minimise weight and bulk and reduce the risk of excess fabric catching and snagging on rugged terrain and jagged rock.
A wide elasticated waistband feels comfortable and supportive around the midsection while providing ample flexibility for technical moves. The band also has an internal drawcord that allows you to cinch and optimise the fit.
Two hand pockets and a zipped thigh offer a variety of storage and organisation options for essentials like trail snacks, keys or a mobile phone.
