What are the Torque Tights?
They're active leggings with super tough reinforcements across the knees and shins that offer the durability of Rab's Torque trousers range with the stretch and mobility you'd expect from leggings. Robust, supportive and flexible, they're perfect for climbing, scrambling and hiking across the seasons.
What are they made from?
These robust tights are made from a highly durable and stretchy material called Flexile™ 200 and use Matrix™ RX for reinforcements across high-wear areas. This fabric comprises polyamide and elastane to offer a robust, supportive stretch, fast moisture-wicking and next-to-skin comfort.
Rab has reinforced the knees and shins with Matrix™ RX panels for added durability and protection. Matrix™ RX is an incredibly tough material that uses highly durable yarns woven into the fabric to prevent tears, allowing the material to withstand high levels of abrasion in rugged environments, making it the perfect choice to reinforce high-wear areas.
The tights are finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent) to help them shed light rain and accidental splashes. However, please note it doesn't mean they are waterproof. Fluorocarbon-free treatments are more environmentally responsible than traditional DWR treatments because they don't use harmful forever chemicals that cause damage to the environment and our ecosystems.
What are their features?
The Torque Tights feature a deep-fitted elasticated waistband for comfort when bending down and stretching, whilst a rear-shaped panel helps optimise the fit around your curves and provides good coverage for use with a climbing harness.
A diamond gusset aids the tights’ fantastic range of movement whilst also helping keep pressure off vital seams to avoid any embarrassing trouser-splitting incidents.
Matrix™ RX soft shell reinforcement panels across the knees and shins provide added durability against rough and rugged surfaces and offer extra protection from the elements.
For storage, there are two easy-access integrated thigh stash pockets, ideal for keeping a mobile phone and energy gels close to hand.
