What are the Tarfala Pants?
They're lightweight trousers designed to provide optimum comfort and performance for various activities. Thanks to their stretchy nature, they're ideal for hiking, scrambling or even a spot of outdoor bouldering, making the perfect go-to trousers for adventurous lifestyles.
What are they made of?
The Tarfala Pants comprise lightweight, double-weave fabric with a four-way stretch that combines partially recycled nylon and spandex. Though recycled, the nylon yarn is incredibly light and durable and can resist abrasion on rough surfaces well - perfect for exploring rocky terrain. Added spandex gives these trousers a lovely stretch to enhance comfort and freedom of movement, providing incredible versatility that goes effortlessly from town to trail and beyond.
The material is treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent). Being PFC-free, this repellent avoids using per-fluorinated chemicals that permanently damage our environment - otherwise known as 'forever chemicals'.
For extra eco-friendly credentials, the fabric is also bluesign® approved. bluesign® approval confirms that these materials avoid using harmful substances when manufactured while using reduced air and water emissions, increasing resource productivity and ensuring that the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
What are their features?
An adjuster is built into the waistband, allowing you to adjust and optimise the fit without buying a belt separately. It feels smooth and has a low-bulk construction, making it super comfy for wearing on long hill days and for more demanding mountain activities.
There are two hand pockets that offer plenty of storage for small essentials like trail snacks and energy gels, and a back zipped pocket which is ideal for safely tucking away keys or spare cash. You also get a pocket on the leg, which inside has a specific mobile phone pocket; this is an excellent place for storing your mobile as it keeps it out of your way, promoting unhindered movement on technical or steep terrain and reducing the chance of it slipping out on the move.
Lastly, drawstring adjusters around the ankles allow you to accommodate different types of footwear, from low-cut shoes to chunky mountain boots, while helping to keep the weather on the outside of your trousers.
