What are the Syncrino Boxers?
These baselayer pants offer fantastic support, comfort and freedom of movement to keep you going through long days in the mountains. The blend of merino wool provides excellent levels of warmth, breathability, and comfort whilst effectively wicking away moisture - what more could you want from a pair of undies?
What are they made of?
Rab has constructed these boxers using unique Syncrino™ 125 fabric - a quick drying merino wool/polyester blend designed to wick away moisture and provide warmth when needed.
Merino wool is exceptionally comfortable and soft against the skin. It is recognised in the outdoor industry for its odour control and sweat wicking properties that help prevent moisture from collecting within the fabric when working up a sweat. It's a common issue that you may come across wearing regular cotton, which is why we recommend wearing technical baselayers instead of everyday attire. Keeping baselayers dry also helps prevent heat loss occuring when the moisture gets colder and sits against the skin for long periods, so wintry days in the mountains feel much more enjoyable!
What are the features?
A lot of the techy stuff in the Syncrino family lies in the material - that's where the magic happens! However, these boxers have a flat, deep wicking waistband that feels comfortable and smooth against the skin.
Low bulk merrow seams add extra comfort and help prevent rubbing or chafing when worn for extended periods. There's a gusset added in at the crotch providing improved freedom of movement in vital areas, so you don't have to worry about splitting your pants during steep ascents or technical scrambles!
How does it fit?
These boxer shorts fit slim to optimise the fabric's performance as it sits closer to the skin.
