What is the Fireball Nano Hoodie?
Weighing a mere 225g, it's an insulative piece ideal for enthusiasts counting every gram of kit. The Fireball Nano is exceptionally versatile; you could wear it as either an insulative midlayer or a light outer layer. It offers the perfect balance of warmth and windproof protection for mountain adventures in any season.
What is it made of?
Insulation: Montane has used recycled 40g/m2 Dynamic Eco Insulation in the core body and collar of the jacket to ensure maximum warmth in vital areas. It works exceptionally well to create a comfortable temperature balance, retaining heat effectively.
Outer/Lining: The outer and lining of the hoody use air-permeable Featherlite™ Air Nylon Stretch, which offers plenty of flexibility and durability whilst feeling incredibly lightweight.
What are its features?
The Nano has a low-bulk hood that fits comfortably underneath a climbing helmet to give you extra warmth and protection on exposed routes. The collar of this jacket is also insulated, so if you've got it zipped all the way up, you'll have a nice toasty nest to burrow your face in when the winds pick up.
You can fasten the front using the reliable YKK® zip - it has a storm flap behind it for extra protection.
Low-bulk elasticated cuffs make space to accommodate chunky mitts or gloves in colder climates, and a trim fit makes it easier to add extra layers over the top.
There are two hand pockets for storage, perfect for smaller essentials such as snacks, energy gels, a GPS or a mobile phone. Each pocket is secured with a YKK® zip to ensure nothing slips out as you're on the move.
An adjustable rear hem allows you to cinch in dead space around the bottom and prevents wind gusts from blowing up.
All of this packs down into the jacket's very own little pocket, making it the ideal emergency layer to stuff into a daypack or kit bag for pitstops or multi-day adventures.
