What is the Quickdraw Carbon 240?
It's a revolutionary probe made to the most compact and lightweight spec in the Black Diamond Snow Safety range. The Quickdraw Carbon 240 delivers exceptional performance and functionality for fast-paced adventures, such as race days, ski mountaineering, and spring backcountry missions.
What are its features?
What makes this probe so lightweight is the fact it uses carbon tubing combined with Kevlar cord and CordLock technology.
Carbon tubing is much lighter and stiffer than aluminium, making an excellent alternative for those counting grams. Kevlar cord also minimises the weight compared to traditional SS cable construction styles, while the CordLock technology ensures rapid deployment and can secure the collapsed probe even without a stuffsack.
The probe has high-contrast markings at 30, 90, and 200cm to act as an aid when measuring and testing snow depth and stability.
Updated graphics on the design differentiate the top and bottom segments, helping to minimise orientation time. It also has a robust aluminium tip that can effectively pierce through the hardest of snow.
Lastly, the probe comes with a storage back to help keep it protected when not in use.
