What is the Storm 500-R?
This headlamp is the perfect in-between for those seeking a technical yet straightforward piece of kit. The Storm 500-R is ideal for hiking, climbing, camping or trail running after the sun has set. More powerful than the Spot 400-R, it still has a light construction, a packable design and 500 lumen maximum output.
What are its features?
Starting with the lamp itself, the Storm 500-R has a 500 lumens maximum output. It comes with multiple settings, including full-strength (in proximity), dimming and strobe style lighting, alongside a super cool night vision with red, green and blue beams to help adapt to your environment or task. The lamp has an excellent waterproof rating of IP67, which indicates it can operate under at least one metre of water for 30 minutes.
There's also a clever brightness memory feature that allows you to turn the headlamp on and off at the last used brightness level, meaning you don't have to fiddle around every time you use it!
Settings are quick and effortless to adjust with the built-in PowerTap™ Technology. Simply tap the side of the device to flick between maximum output and dimmed power settings - super handy with cold fingers or chunky gloves.
For added efficiency, the lock mode helps prevent accidental use when stored in a pack or pocket, preserving the battery for when you need it most.
