What is the Tikka® Core Headtorch?
The Tikka® Core offers 450 lumens for activities after dark or in low visibility conditions. Whether reading a book in camp, thru-hiking or rock climbing 'til late, it's versatile enough to suit a range of activities and weighs just 84g. This headtorch is incredibly comfy and packable enough to stuff in a pocket for emergencies.
What are its features?
The light has a wide, uniform beam that allows you to see either up close or by your feet comfortably.
Three white lighting levels allow you to adjust the beam to suit your activity or surroundings, including maximum burn time (the most efficient setting), standard (between efficient and powerful) and maximum power (brightest, most powerful setting).
For nighttime, there's also a reflector, so you don't lose the lamp in the dark and a red light setting that allows you to see without straining your eyes or dazzling your fellow campmates. A strobe setting allows you to signal your location for emergencies or simply if you lose your pal on the walk down from your ascent.
A single button provides easy setting selection, while the adjustable plate means you can orient the lamp in your desired direction. Lock functions prevent the lamp from accidentally turning on when being transported and not in use.
The reflective headband helps you to remain visible. It's detachable and can be washed, so if you drop it in a puddle or have been working up a sweat on the rock face, it'll look as good as new in no time.
The Tikka® Core has a hybrid concept design, meaning it can take three AAA/LR03 batteries (not included) whilst compatible with the CORE rechargeable battery (included), which you can recharge using the type B micro USB port. This little lamp is even brainy enough to tell you how much power is left and can detect the type of power source and adjust the lighting performance accordingly. Impressive right?
For climbers and bikers, you'll be pleased to know that this lamp is compatible with Helmet Adapt and Bike Adapt 2 mounts so that you can fix the light on various helmets or bike frames.
Finally, this headtorch comes with a storage pouch that transforms it into a lantern for camping or even relaxing in the back garden.
