What is the Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid?
It's a lightweight headtorch explicitly designed for running, whether trail running, endurance racing, marathon training or taking a pre-dawn jog before work. The Trail Runner Free 2 uses a hybrid design and is built with features optimised for a runner's needs.
What are its features?
The lamp has a 450-lumen output that can be boosted to 500 lumens when better vision is required - you can do this using the Boost Mode setting. Silva Intelligent Light technology combines a long-reach spotlight with a close flood light for versatility in different terrain and conditions.
The Trail Runner Free 2 integrates the power cord into the headband, aptly named 'Free Technology', freeing you of annoying cables and cords for no-hassle performance.
Due to its low weight, the headband feels comfortable next to the skin and stays in place on the move, thanks to its anti-slip construction.
It comes with a Hybrid battery case that can carry either the Silva rechargeable Hybrid battery (included) or three AAA batteries (not included), so you can use the latter if the rechargeable battery runs out of juice.
The Hybrid battery is compact and lightweight, perfect for on-the-go action, with indicators showing you when the power is getting low. A red rear safety light is also built into the battery case for extra visibility when worn.
This headtorch comes with a soft, flat textile extension cord that allows you to recharge the battery as it's worn - handy for overnight adventures and multi-day runs.
Finally, the lamp meets IPX5 requirements, making it water-resistant and useable even in light rain or snow (although please note this doesn't mean it's fully waterproof/submergible).
