What is The Peak Twiceme® Helmet?
It's a ski helmet designed to offer superior, reliable protection during the winter and is compliant with both skiing and mountaineering standards to suit a range of adventures. It offers bespoke comfort, is super lightweight and has a built-in twICEme® system to allow first responders to work quickly in case of emergency.
What is it made of?
This helmet has an ultra-light EPS injection-moulded shell, which is covered with a thin layer of polycarbonate. The shell absorbs any impact from falls and bumps and distributes it around so that impact isn't concentrated on one area, which would potentially cause more severe damage. Using a polycarbonate cover protects the EPS and provides scratch resistance, preventing it from getting damaged and losing its performance qualities.
What are its features?
A highlight feature of the Twiceme® is the twICEme® system. It's an integrated system with a medical identification chip designed to give first responders medical information and contact details needed in an emergency. twICEme® is fantastic for making emergencies quicker and more efficient to deal with - potentially even saving a life in extreme cases!
The helmet is adjustable to give you a precise fit that feels comfortable and secure on your head. It's ventilated using strategically placed vents that provide optimum airflow to help regulate temperature, enhanced with additional moisture wicking mesh.
It's fitted with soft 3D ear pads that feel comfortable next to the skin and help prevent your tabs from getting bashed around, should you take a fall. The ear pads are removable, so if you'd prefer not to wear them or want to reduce the weight, the option's always there!
A Fidlock® Magnetic Closure allows you to quickly and securely close the helmet strap, even with numb fingers or gloves.
For goggles, an elastic strap attachment allows you to attach the goggle strap and hold it in place, so no matter how much you're moving around, you don't have to worry about them slipping.
You've also got a headlamp attachment on the front, allowing you to clip in head torches for extra visibility if you're out after hours or when conditions are poor.
Finally, as mentioned, this helmet fully complies with skiing EN1077 standards and EN12492 mountaineering standards.
