What are the Pedroc Pro Mid PTX Boots?
The Pedroc Pro Mid PTX Boots are best suited to three-season use. They offer ample waterproof protection with plenty of cushioning and support for multi-day treks, hiking or even more leisurely country adventures.
What are they made of?
Upper: The lightweight uppers combine a transparent ripstop mesh PE with high-resistance ripstop PE for optimum abrasion resistance with less weight and bulk. These materials also provide excellent ventilation to stop sweat build-up when working hard. Pairing these shoes with some technical socks will make quite a dream team!
Lining: PowerTex lining inside the boots provides reliable waterproof protection and breathability. This waterproof membrane is PFC-free, avoiding those harmful 'forever chemicals' and helping to prevent further pollution of our precious environment.
Midsole: An EVA midsole provides ample cushioning and shock absorption to help protect your feet from impact when moving on hard ground. This foam adds little weight to the load, helping to reduce grams overall.
Outsole: POMOCA Speed Hiker Pro soles are incredibly durable and will provide good traction on varied terrain, making these boots a great all-rounder in both wet and dry conditions.
Footbed: An MFF+ footbed provides sufficient underfoot cushioning without compromising breathability and precision.
Materials used in this product are PFC-free and socially monitored to contribute to a better Corporate Social Responsiblity practice. Any chemicals used to create these boots are also verified for testing and safety.
What are their features?
The mid-height of these boots, combined with a specialised Ankle Protector System, allows for extra protection around the ankles, helping to shield them from dirt, debris and jagged rock.
TPU film protection is overlayed across the uppers to maximise longevity, meaning these boots will last even longer despite being used regularly in rugged environments.
Salewa has incorporated its '3F system' using strong Kevlar® cables to provide the most secure fit possible. The system ensures a blister-free, accurate experience by attaching a thin wire to two of the lacing hooks, which wraps around the heel of the boot.
Adaptive eyelets allow for customisation of the lacing system, and extra laces are included with these boots, just in case.
