What are the Olympus 5?
The Olympus 5's are trail running shoes that provide ample cushioning and breathability without compromising durability and performance. They have an incredibly versatile, sporty design and work just as well as everyday trainers for casual errands when you're a little closer to home.
What are they made of?
The upper is made with durable, engineered mesh that helps reduce weight and bulk while providing optimum performance. It's incredibly light and breathable to help prevent sweat from building up inside during intense activities.
Altra has used Compression Moulded EVA foam to construct the midsole to protect underfoot on mixed terrain and improve overall comfort.
The outsole uses Vibram® Megagrip, a high-performance rubber compound that offers outstanding grip in dry and wet conditions. It promotes confidence to enhance stability and control in each step, whether running across rugged mountainous landscapes or wearing these trainers daily in more urban surroundings. The rubber is incredibly durable to survive plenty of wear.
What are their features?
A Footshape™ Toe Box provides your toes with enough space to relax fully and naturally spread to give you a better balance on uneven terrain and steep inclines.
Balanced Cushioning™ provides moderate cushioning for ample support without the shoes feeling too squidgy underneath the foot. It positions your heel and forefoot at an equal distance from the ground to encourage better alignment and form and lessen the landing impact of your foot for an overall smoother ride.
The Olympus 5s feature a GaiterTrap™ that allows you to attach a strapless gaiter to prevent debris from gritty trails from building up underneath the shoe.
The traditional lacing system is easy to use and helps to enhance the fit around the upper foot to suit your preference.
