What are the L.I.M Tempo Trail GTX Low?
They're highly comfortable and fast-paced trail running shoes designed to offer traction and speed for running in wet conditions. They use a combination of a waterproof Gore-tex® lining and Asics' FlyteFoam™ midsoles to help you make the most out of every run.
What are they made from?
Upper: The L.I.M Tempo Trail GTX's uppers are woven from a breathable Cordura air mesh made from 100% recycled polyester, with TPU overlays for added durability in key areas. The polyester is lightweight and considerably easier to clean than other fabrics, often a relief when you need to rinse them down after running down wet, muddy hillsides!
Lining: The shoes are lined with Gore-tex® Extended Comfort - this specialised technology provides waterproof breathability and works best in moderate to warm conditions or high-intensity activity. Extended Comfort prevents water from seeping inside the shoe, whilst allowing sweat vapour to escape to help regulate temperature and improve comfort.
Midsole: The midsole uses a combination of Flytefoam™ and Gel™ technology for a soft, cushiony feel under the foot to help reduce impact and improve performance.
Flytefoam™ - Developed by Asics, Flytefoam™ midsole technology has built-in reinforced fibres to help maintain cushioning and durability whilst providing a lightweight feel underfoot.
Gel™ - Gel™ technology has been developed to reduce impact on the rearfoot and forefoot using strategic gel placement. The Gel™ increases shock absorption from movement with multiple layers of formulated foam cushioning to increase overall comfort, performance and stability.
Outsole: The outsole uses a combination of MaxLite-Moulded Ortholite™ 0.11D and Wet Grip Rubber™ for durable protection and traction even in wet conditions.
Ortholite™ soles provide durable foam cushioning whilst maintaining a lightweight feel to improve overall comfort. Ortholite™ offers high breathability and moisture management control, ideal for warmer climates or intense mountain hikes when working up a sweat.
The WET GRIP Rubber™ uses a blend of raw rubber (often used in snow tyres) for grip and chaff to penetrate the water layer on wet ground. Whilst the rubber provides a super grippy surface, the chaff helps to increase the contact area on the ground for an overall reliable feel.
What are their features?
Most of these fantastic trail running shoes' features can be found within the materials section above – that's where the magic really happens. But they do feature a flat lacing system, with a convenient lace garage to neatly tuck away your laces so you don't have to worry about them catching or snagging on rocks or low-lying branches when you're moving fast on the trail. Haglofs has finished the design of these trail shoes with TPU protection around the toes and subtle branding on the sides of the foot.
