What are the Levante Shoe?
They're athlete-approved, long-distance running shoes designed in collaboration with La Sportiva's female athletes. Every part of these shoes has been thoroughly researched and developed to provide the perfect balance of cushioning, reactivity, stability and protection for demanding training sessions.
What are they made of?
Upper: The upper features a breathable mesh made from recycled material to minimise weight and promote ample temperature regulation while helping to prevent sweat build-up during long distances. Thermoplastic film ripstop reinforcements and monofilament nylon side panels increase durability for moving over rugged terrain without adding bulk excessively. A soft knit collar around the ankle also provides ample comfort and flexibility where you need it most.
Lining: These shoes are lined with an anti-abrasion mesh, also made from recycled materials, which is incredibly robust yet has a lesser environmental impact.
Midsole: An XFlow™ super foam midsole provides fantastic cushioning and energy return to help reduce impact from hard ground and foot fatigue. The midsole also features Trail Rocker™ technology, favouring natural foot support and encouraging athletes to strike a more natural stance when moving, allowing the foot to roll off the ground instead of stepping flat.
Insole: An Ortholite™ Hybrid Mountain Running® Ergonomic Insole provides a more eco-friendly alternative without compromising feel and performance. These insoles contain 20% recycled material and are designed to offer maximum comfort, thanks to their built-in ventilation, breathable PU foam cells and sweat-wicking properties.
Outsole: The Levante shoes come with a Frixion White® outsole. Frixion White® is a super sticky, long-lasting compound that offers great traction for running on varied terrain - it's perfect for athletes looking to beat their PB, come rain or shine.
What are their features?
The strategic, structured design of the shoe enhances support and stability; for example, the knit gaiter surrounds the ankle to provide extra coverage, whilst the wrapping system and heel ergonomics secure the foot inside comfortably, helping to prevent it from slipping around inside the shoe.
Flex grooves increase the flexibility of the sole, making it more agile and allowing the foot to move and bounce more naturally.
Laces are lightweight and slim to save weight and bulk; they're also 100% recycled to reduce environmental impact even further.
