What are the Alterra II GTX?
These boots are versatile, waterproof trekking boots that feature Gore-Tex® technology. The Alterra II GTX are designed for adventures of medium difficulty and mixed terrain. They work great for all seasons and provide ample comfort and support for longer distances or multi-day hikes.
What are they made of?
Upper: The upper is constructed from suede and synthetic stretch material to enhance durability and comfort in different environments. A Liba® Smart PU rand around the bottom of the boot helps to absorb impact and shields the sides of the foot and toes from harsh hits on rock; ideal for mountain hiking and navigating more difficult, rocky terrain.
Lining: Gore-Tex® More Seasons technology is used in the lining to provide reliable waterproof protection without compromising breathability. It ensures maximum performance in less-than-ideal conditions. Gore-Tex® stretch is also used in the tongue to ensure complete protection around the boot.
Outsole: The Vibram® Alterra II outsole features a Vibram Weave Technology tread to provide excellent grip, even on tricky, uneven ground.
Midsole: A bi-density PU wedge and recycled EVA foam in the midsole provide ample cushioning and support; they work together with the outsole to ensure stability with each step.
What are their features?
These boots have an asymmetrical lacing system combined with a stretchy, waterproof tongue, which delivers maximum precision for a better fit, closing around the foot and ankle to offer support and protection.
The built-in Elica Natural Stride System is integrated into the boots' last, insole board, midsole and outsole. It ensures an anatomical fit to provide enhanced stability and weight distribution, helping to reduce uncomfortable pressure points and encourage better form as you walk. This anatomical fit will also help to reduce foot fatigue and impact for longer distances, keeping those aches at bay.
