What are the Tatra II GTX?
They're versatile, waterproof hiking boots that perform fantastically off the beaten path and are suitable for a range of activities, including day hiking, hut-to-hut adventures and multi-day treks.
What are they made of?
The upper of the boots is constructed with tough Nubuck leather that is soft and flexible for out-of-the-box comfort. Nubuck leather is also breathable and naturally water resistant (not fully waterproof), meaning it'll still serve you well in damp conditions and won't make your feet too hot and sweaty if you're working hard.
They're lined with waterproof Gore-Tex® material and have a built-in Gore-Tex® membrane for maximum waterproof protection and breathability, keeping you both comfortable and protected from the elements at all times.
The Tatra II GTX boots have a Vibram® AW Integral outer sole with deep lugs to give you maximum grip and traction on slippery surfaces and in challenging terrain. Vibram® soles are made of vulcanised rubber, adapting them to a specific purpose for increased performance.
What are their features?
A padded leather cuff offers more comfort and support around the ankle. It has added vent holes to increase breathability and promote temperature regulation when working hard on steep ascents or technical scrambles.
The footbed is well-cushioned and comfortable to wear for long periods or over multiple days. TPU reinforcement is added at the toe and heel, making them feel much more solid to withstand impact and provide excellent protection in vulnerable areas.
All of this tech is fastened with an easy-to-use lacing system. A tongue lace hook prevents the tongue from slipping, helping to keep everything in place for maximum comfort and protection against the elements.
