What are the Baltimore GTX Walking Boots?
Whether taking a leisurely stroll in the Peak District or discovering a new mountain trail in the Lakes, the Baltimore GTX Boots provide optimum comfort and reliable waterproof protection, thanks to their Gore-Tex® construction.
What are they made of?
The upper of these boots is constructed with Nubuck leather and suede, which gives them a soft, flexible feel for out-of-the-box comfort without compromising durability.
They have a Gore-Tex® lining that stops water from soaking into the boot, making them fully waterproof so you can make the most of your adventures without worrying about the forecast.
What are their features?
An Air Active footbed gives you all the breathability you need to stop your feet from feeling sweaty and clammy as your body temperature rises.
The Meindl Magic Light Trail soles provide plenty of grip under the foot for more technical trail routes and wet rocks. The soles are designed to support the underfoot and improve comfort, which is enhanced by the EVA shock absorbing midsole. As you may have already guessed, the midsole absorbs shock and helps to protect the foot from impact, which is handy for steep declines and rocky paths.
These boots have a Derby-cut lacing system that allows the boot to be laced all the way down to the toe. This lacing system is fantastic for adapting the boots to different foot shapes and enhancing their overall fit.
Meindl Boot Care
The most important thing you can do for your boots is to look after them. After your walk, remove the footbeds to air and remove loose dirt and grit from inside the boot. To improve the odour and breathability of your boots, rinse them inside with lukewarm water occasionally. Clean the outside of the boot under cold running water using a brush.
Leather and Nubuck footwear benefit from regular waxing. Apply Meindl Sportwax with a sponge.
