What is it made from?
The Greenland Winter Jacket is constructed from a mixture of Fjallraven's iconic G1000® fabric, Supreme Microloft insulation and recycled polyester lining.
For those who don't know, G1000® is one of Fjallraven's cornerstone materials. It's a highly durable fabric comprised of a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. G1000® is ventilating, hardwearing, and weather-resistant, making it an ideal companion for life outdoors.
However, the magic of G1000® doesn't stop there! G1000® materials can be adapted to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.

The Greenland Winter Jacket uses Fjallraven's own synthetic insulation, Supreme Microloft, to provide light insulation to the jacket without adding a lot of bulk or extra weight. Fjallraven developed Supreme Microloft to offer warmth, even in damp conditions. It mimics down clusters by trapping warm air to retain heat, keeping you warm just like natural down. However, unlike down, it can stay warm once moist, making it much more effective and reliable in damp conditions. Overall, this insulation is more durable and much easier to clean and maintain than down, though slightly less packable.
The jacket's lining is lightweight, durable polyester in a high-pile fleece. It feels exceptionally warm and comfortable on the skin, allowing you to take that little bit of luxury away from home with you.

Based on Fjallraven's iconic Greenland Jacket, this timeless, durable winter jacket is built for a lifetime of use. Features such as double-layer fabric reinforcements at high wear points, like the shoulders and elbows, increase the jacket's durability from general wear or wearing a pack when you're out on the hill, helping it last for many years to come.
The jacket features a two-way front zipper with a buttoned flap over the top for extra weather resistance and security, allowing you to fully undo the zip for added ventilation without having the jacket blow around in the wind.
A fixed, well-fitted hood and a high collar at the front help shield you from the elements, keeping rain or wind away from your face. A soft high-pile fleece lining delivers added warmth on cold days, dialling up the jacket's cosy factor while still being robust enough to withstand the abrasion of everyday use.
For storage, there are two buttoned chest pockets and two bellowed pockets with button flaps and extra side openings, ideal for storing chunkier belongings such as a mobile phone, camera, gloves or a wallet. There's also an inside zippered pocket for smaller, more precious items, such as house or car keys, that need a little more security.
The cuffs feature easy-to-use press-button adjustments that allow you to adapt them around chunky gloves or mitts to seal out the elements. Finally, a drawcord adjustment at the hem allows you to cinch in the waist for optimum heat retention.
