The Women's Cirrus Flex 2.0 Hoody is now made almost entirely from recycled materials! The Cirrus Flex 2.0 is a synthetically insulated, warm, close fitting piece with stretchy side panels for breathability. It can either be used as a super warm midlayer or an outer layer in milder conditions.
What is it made of?Insulation: Rab have used Recycled Primaloft Silver Luxe in the Cirrus Flex 2.0 Hoody; Primaloft Silver is a synthetic insulation that provides a high performance alternative to natural down. It was designed to mimic the warmth and feel of natural down with all the benefits and none of the drawbacks. It retains its loft when wet, breathes superbly, has no allergens, retains warmth even when wet (more so than Hydrophobic down), compresses easily and dries exceptionally quickly. PrimaLoft Silver Luxe Insulation is exceptionally soft and is used throughout the jacket, except in the hood sides and cuffs which use PrimaLoft Silver sheet insulation.
The jacket also has stretchy panels along the sides, sleeves, and hood of the jacket to increase airflow, breathability and comfort. This stretchy material allows air to pass through, cooling you down when working hard or while using it as a midlayer. It also provides stretch along the sides of the jacket and along the sleeves to the cuff for better manoeuvrability.
Outer fabric: The Cirrus Flex 2.0 Hoody uses Pertex Quantum 20D recycled polyamide, providing an incredibly lightweight yet durable shell to protect you from wind and light rain. It's also exceptionally breathable for slightly more intense activities such as mountaineering and climbing.
Lining Fabric: The Jacket uses a 20D recycled Atmos polyamide ripstop fabric that glides easily over the top of layers.
What are the features?Starting from the top the Cirrus features an insulated, semi-elasticated under helmet hood to keep your head toasty when you’re climbing. You get high quality YKK zips throughout, two warm hand pockets and two internal drop pockets to keep your kit safe. Semi-elasticated cuffs and a hem drawcord help to seal out the elements. When not required the Cirrus will pack into its own pocket and stash almost unnoticed into your pack making it perfect jacket for all winter mountain activities.
How does it fit?The Cirrus uses Rab’s Women’s ‘Slim Fit’ which means it sits close to your body for optimal performance, but you can still fit a couple of thin layers on underneath it.
