The Gamma SL Anorak is an ultra lightweight, weather resistant jacket with a four-way stretch that helps to promote maximum comfort and performance. What is it made of?
This jacket is constructed using Fortius™ 1.0 double weave with a four-way stretch.
Fortius™ 1.0 Double Weave is a light, robust yet extremely breathable fabric that is fantastic for temperature regulation and packability. Fortius™ 1.0 resists wind and water, creating an effective weather resistant barrier to combat challenging conditions, while still providing a four-way stretch, enabling the jacket to move with the body.
What are its features?
The Fortius™ 1.0 Double Weave acts as a barrier between rock, brush and insects, alongside wet, blustery weather, making it an extremely functional, versatile layer. It can be worn for various outdoor activities between spring and autumn. Whether hiking in the Peak District, scrambling in the Lakes or even just mooching around your local country park, the Gamma SL Anorak has got you covered.
This jacket has a StormHood™ which adds extra shielding without obstructing peripheral vision, making it ideal for longer or more exposed routes. The hood moves with the head, making it easier to check out your surroundings while improving comfort and mobility yet still providing a much more secure fit.
There is a half-length main zip at the centre front of the jacket, creating more of a pullover jumper style for quick and easy access - just throw it on over your shirt when you get caught in a sudden blustery shower for some extra defence. The zip is also excellent for ventilation, leave it open to create more airflow around the jacket if you’re working up a sweat.
Adjusters at the hem and on the hood allow users to cinch the jacket in for a more personal, protective fit, helping to prevent nasty weather from seeping in through loose gaps. Cinching the jacket in will help to retain warmth in colder conditions, balancing the body's microclimate when exposed to harsher weather.
