What is the ROC Mono Proof Jacket?
It's a minimalist and hardworking shell jacket that can handle demanding days on the mountain and weekend adventures. Designed primarily for rugged mountain use, the ROC Mono is ideal for climbing and alpinism when the weather's not playing ball.
What is it made from?
The ROC Mono is constructed from 100% mono-material, meaning that this jacket is made entirely from recycled polyester. This helps reduce the energy required to create the jacket and the energy needed to recycle it at the end of its life.
The 100% recycled face fabric is durable enough to withstand abrasion from rough, rocky surfaces but is soft inside for next-to-skin comfort.
For weather resistance, this jacket uses Haglof's proprietary 3-layer PROOF™ membrane for breathable protection from the elements.
The face fabric is also treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent) for added water resistance, with lesser environmental impact than conventional methods. It's also bluesign® approved for some extra eco-friendly credentials.
What are its features?
The fit of this jacket has been optimised for freedom of movement whilst climbing. The two lower pockets and the single chest pocket have been positioned for easy use whilst wearing a climbing harness and for access to your mid layers pockets.
Oversized toggles to the cuffs and large zip pull cords allow you to easily adjust the jacket and access your pockets whilst wearing gloves, meaning you don't have to waste time fiddling or risk getting cold, wet hands.
Underarm vents allow you to dump heat effectively, whilst the separate zippers will enable you to easily control the amount of ventilation without a bulky zip in your armpit, making climbing and long mountain ascents more comfortable.
The drawcord adjuster to the hem is precisely that, draw-cord with no unnecessary elastic (which cannot be recycled).
This jacket is the epitome of sustainability through circulation and uses recycled materials where possible and materials that can easily be recycled. It has exceptional attention to detail, carefully considering each element for optimum mountain performance.
The adjustable hood is helmet compatible and can be cinched in with one hand, making multi-tasking on the mountain that little bit easier. This robust mountaineering jacket is finished with a RECCO® reflector for enhanced searchability, just in case.
