What is the Phase Lite Jacket?

Montane's Phase Lite Jacket is a superlight, low bulk shell jacket that offers plenty of breathability, durability and maximum waterproof and windproof protection for fast and light activity in the mountains. Whether you're speed hiking through the Peak District, trail running in the Lakes or even taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, the Phase Lite will keep you protected and comfortable throughout your session.

What is it made of?

The Phase Lite uses a 30D Gore-Tex® Active Shell specially designed for fast paced, high-aerobic mountain adventures - perfect for done-in-a-day activities where you require exceptional breathability.

Gore-Tex® Active provides reliable waterproof and windproof protection that is extremely lightweight to ensure you don't get weighed down on the trails. It's a highly breathable material, helping control and manage body temperature during intense sessions and keeping you comfortable by preventing sweat vapour from building up inside the jacket. This shell material is highly packable, so it could even be slung into a small daypack in case of emergency. It feels excellent next to the skin, so you would barely even notice wearing it when you have minimum layers underneath.

What are its features?

Taped seams on the Phase Lite help to enhance the jacket's waterproofness. The tape covers each seam individually from the inside, creating an effective barrier that helps prevent water from seeping through the stitching.

The hood is adjustable and can be rolled away to keep it from annoyingly flapping around your ears in the wind. A three point 'quick release' adjustment on the hood allows you to adapt the fit without the faff, and a stiffened peak at the top of the hood helps keep wet weather away from the face.

You can fasten the jacket using the front, full-length YKK Aquaguard® zip - a laminated zip with waterproof capabilities. These zips are slightly finer in size to help reduce the weight overall. The zip has an internal storm flap behind it to enhance weather protection around the main entry point.

Two zipped hand pockets offer a safe place to stow away gloves, a mobile phone, snacks and energy gels. These pockets are also protected with a YKK Aquaguard® zip.

Cuffs are shaped and have hook and loop adjustment tabs that allow you to adapt the fit around gloves or mitts. The inside of the cuffs has bonded reinforcement (there are no seams added to hold the reinforcement in place) which is less bulky than having panels that are stitched in. This reinforcement allows you to wear the jacket with a fitness watch or GPS without it snagging and wearing over time. Finally, a drawcord adjuster at the bottom will enable you to cinch in the hem, optimising waterproof protection and preventing gusts from blowing up the jacket.
