What is the Poco SLT?
It's a super lightweight child carrier designed to keep your child safe when venturing outdoors and travelling. The Poco SLT is the lightest child carrier in Osprey's range and has a minimal feature set, perfect for those counting grams.
What is it made of?
This child carrier is made with 100% recycled 210D nylon throughout, which is incredibly durable and long-lasting. Using recycled material lessens the environmental impact of this child carrier without compromise.
The material is finished with a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent), encouraging light rain and snow to bead off instead of soaking in. PFAS-free treatments eliminate the use of harmful forever chemicals that pollute our environment and damage our ecosystems, which also adds to this pack's responsibility credentials.
What backsystem does it use?
The Poco SLT uses an Airscape backpanel made with mesh-covered, extra-deep ridged foam that allows maximum ventilation and enhances comfort for carrying the pack for longer periods.
A patented 4.5mm LightWire peripheral frame effectively transfers the load from the harness to the hipbelt, shifting the weight whilst increasing comfort and reducing the risk of pain or injury.
The Atilon framesheet further spreads the load across the backpanel to distribute the weight more evenly.
Integrated BioStretch seams on the harness and hipbelt offer maximum flexibility without sacrificing stability, helping the wearer to achieve more dynamic movement. The harness is stabilised with an adjustable sternum strap.
A spacermesh over die-cut foam construction style also provides a more breathable, comfortable contact surface across the entire carry system.
What are its features?
The deluxe child cockpit features a Double Halo harness with front-facing arm loops and adjustable stirrups, providing easy entry and buckling to safely carry the child. It's also fully framed and padded and has soft contact surfaces, an anatomical fit and ventilated side panels for enhanced comfort. You can also adjust the seat height to accommodate your child perfectly.
Osprey has minimised the SLT's carrier size to help reduce weight and bulk. The unique collapsing frame also packs down small, making it ideal for at-home storage and transportation. Top and side grab handles also make this carrier easily portable for multi-day trips.
For organisation, you get a zipped upper pocket with a key clip, perfect for housing small valuables, and a zipped lower storage compartment.
A hydration sleeve accommodates reservoirs for hands-free sipping on hot days. This carrier is also sunshade compatible if you're seeking extra protection for your child. However, the sunshade is not included with the SLT carrier and must be purchased separately.
