What is the Daylite Expandable Travel Pack?
It's a functional, durable backpack with an expandable capacity, designed for travelling and commuting.
What is it made of?
This main body is made with a 100% recycled 300D polyester ripstop. 300D means 300 denier, which is incredibly high and makes the Daylite Expandable Pack extremely robust and long-lasting. The ripstop nature of this fabric also ensures that it'll survive being dragged through airport baggage systems or rough terrain if you're venturing into a remote location for the weekend.
The base of this bag is reinforced with an even tougher, 100% recycled 600D polyester, which is double the thickness of the main body fabric, delivering extreme durability to ensure this bag will last you a lifetime!
Inside, the lining comprises 100% recycled 200D polyester, which is smooth enough to keep contents well protected inside and less bulky to help reduce the weight.
All materials are treated with a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent), which encourages light rain and snow to bead off the material instead of soaking in. PFAS-free treatments are more environmentally responsible than conventional ones, as they do not contain harmful 'forever chemicals'. Please note, however, that this treatment does not make it fully waterproof!
All materials are also bluesign® approved, meaning they're manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
What backsystem does it use?
Osprey's Airscape® backsystem technology prioritises comfort and stability - the perfect combination for a casual, everyday or weekend travel bag. This particular design features an Airscape® backpanel to enhance the fit and create a snug feel. The specialised AirScape™ backpanel features vented and ridged foam sections overlaid with lightweight mesh for maximum comfort and breathability.
It also uses a spacer mesh-covered EVA foam harness, which provides a more comfortable carry all-around, with an adjustable sternum strap and a grab handle for a quick grab-and-go solution when you're in a hurry.
What are its features?
At its most compact, this backpack provides 26 litres of storage and is hand luggage-compatible with most airlines (please check before you travel). However, if you've bought a few too many mementoes on your trip, you can expand the capacity by an additional six litres!
A whistle on the sternum strap allows you to call for help in an emergency, making it ideal for adventures in remote locations.
Two stretchy water bottle pockets allow you to stay hydrated without having bottles take up precious room inside the main compartment.
A front shove-it pocket (queue Deftones song here) easily fits maps and guidebooks, keeping them accessible at all times.
A trolley handle pass-through and multiple grab handles provide various carry options and maximum functionality for navigating airports and transportation. An internal tie-down strap also helps to keep items in place on the move.
This pack also comes with a built-in organiser with key storage, which is great for small or valuable essentials and helps to ensure that you won't lose your keys on your voyage. There's also a built-in laptop sleeve at the rear of the main compartment for those travelling on business.
Lastly, the suitcase-style, full zip opening with a mesh divider makes packing and unpacking a breeze.
