What is the Daylite Plus?
It's a 20-litre backpack designed to accommodate a huge range of activities and adventures, whether hiking a new trail, heading on holiday, or exploring the city. The Daylite Plus is incredibly versatile and makes the perfect backpack for those who don't want to buy multiple packs for different uses.
What is it made of?
This main body is made with 300D polyester; this incredibly high material denier makes the Daylite Plus extremely robust and long-lasting.
The base of this backpack is reinforced with an even tougher 600D polyester, which is double the thickness of the main body fabric, delivering extreme durability and making this the last rucksack you'll ever need to buy—it'll last you a lifetime!
Inside, the lining comprises 200D polyester, which is smooth enough to keep contents well protected inside and less bulky to help reduce the weight.
All materials are 100% recycled and treated with a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent), which encourages light rain and snow to bead off the material instead of soaking in. PFAS-free treatments are more environmentally responsible than conventional ones, as they do not contain harmful 'forever chemicals'. Please note, however, that this treatment does not make it fully waterproof!
All materials are also bluesign® approved, meaning they're manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
What backsystem does it use?
The Daylite Plus uses Osprey's AirScape® backsystem. Airscape® technology prioritises comfort and stability - the perfect combination for a casual everyday or weekend travel bag. The specialised AirScape™ backpanel features vented and ridged foam sections overlaid with a breathable, lightweight mesh for maximum comfort and breathability.
Shoulder straps are designed to grip securely to clothing, keeping everything secure and comfortable, yet are padded to help prevent them from digging in when carrying this pack for prolonged periods. You also get a removable webbing hipbelt to prevent the pack from moving around and transferring some of the load into your hips instead of holding all the pressure on your back.
What are its features?
A large panel-loading main compartment provides ample room for your essentials. It comes with an internal, multi-functional padded sleeve that can accommodate a hydration reservoir, tablet, or most laptops up to 14".
If you're more of a water bottle kind of person, there are two side mesh pockets to accommodate bottles and keep them within reach at all times.
For extra organisation, you also get a front pocket with a key clip to attach your keys, ensuring they don't get lost along the way. The front panel shove-it pocket works well for maps and guidebooks, and an additional front panel zippered slash pocket is ideal for securing smaller valuables.
Dual-side compression straps can compress the load and reduce the pack's overall volume. Lastly, a harness grab handle doubles as a luggage pass-through for keen travellers and frequent flyers.
