What is the Metron Roll-Top?
It's a 22-litre backpack with bicycle-commute specific features to make riding on two wheels a little easier. The Metron Roll-Top is the perfect backpack for those seeking something more casual and suited to everyday lifestyles. It's made from durable fabric and has all the functions you need for regular use.
What is it made of?
This backpack comprises bluesign® approved 500D recycled high tenacity nylon, which is highly durable and can withstand bumps and scrapes from regular use. It has added accents of recycled 210D nylon dobby for reinforcement in places that are more exposed and likely to wear quicker.
The material is treated with a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent) to encourage light rain and snow to bead off the material, although this won't make it fully waterproof. Being PFAS-free, this treatment is much more sustainable than conventional water repellents as it doesn't use chemicals that cause harm to the environment.

The Metron Roll-Top uses an AirScape™ backsystem designed to prioritise comfort and stability.
AIRSCAPE™ BACKPANEL - The specialised AirScape™ backpanel features vented and ridged foam sections overlaid with a breathable, lightweight mesh for maximum comfort and breathability.
AIRSCAPE™ SPACERMESH HARNESS AND HIPBELT - The shoulder harness and hipbelt are made with a soft, edgeless contact material with a sizeable load-bearing surface area for maximum comfort, ventilation and efficient weight transfer.
What are its features?
The shoulder straps have an adjustable sternum strap to secure the pack around the front and help to draw the weight in more centrally.
The main compartment can be accessed using the roll-top entry point at the top of the pack. It's secured with a zip and has a wide opening to provide better visibility inside while allowing adjustment of the internal capacity.
As mentioned, this backpack has a handy laptop sleeve that doubles up as a document sleeve if you have some important papers you need to keep tidy. The sleeve fits most 16" laptops and is padded well to keep your electricals protected when you're on the move.
A front panel zipped organisation pocket with smaller drop-in pockets is ideal for stationary and accessories. It also has a handy key fob to secure keys and stop them from getting buried in larger compartments. The front panel has a padded shove-it stretch pocket for bulkier belongings that you may want to access quickly.
On the sides, you've also got stretch pockets, one with a zip and one with side access for water bottles.
For bicycle commuters, this messenger bag has a few other features to make your life a little bit easier. A deployable helmet carry gives you somewhere to securely store your hat when it's not worn, and a hi-vis raincover is included with the pack to keep possessions dry if the weather isn't playing ball. The bag is finished with an LED light loop attachment (please note - light not included) and reflective graphics to boost visibility after hours.
