What is the Transporter Wheeled Carry-On?
It's an incredibly durable, lightweight carry-on bag with a wheeled chassis for maximum on-the-go functionality. The Transporter WCO is part of one of Osprey's best-selling ranges and is perfect for frequent flyers and travellers abroad.
What is it made of?
The main body and base are constructed using high-tenacity nylon with a NanoTough coating, which is incredibly strong and abrasion-resistant, so this bag can easily withstand being thrown around at the airport. The fabric composition of the main body material also includes ripstop, enhancing longevity even further.
The lining comprises 210D nylon, which is much lighter yet remarkably robust. This material has a smooth finish to ensure further protection for the contents inside.
All materials are 100% recycled, keeping resources in the loop instead of allowing them to go to waste, and bluesign® approved.
bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
All materials are also treated with a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent) to enhance weather protection by encouraging light rain and snow to bead off the fabric instead of soaking in. However, please note that this doesn't make the bag waterproof.
PFAS-free treatments avoid the use of harmful 'forever' chemicals. PFAS is a toxic chemical known to harm humans and the environment. It was previously commonly used in DWR treatments; however, many outdoor companies are now working to eliminate these chemicals from their production lines to contribute to a more responsible manufacturing process.
What are the features?
An updated HighRoad Chassis features 90mm wheels, which provide excellent roll and durability, even on bumpy surfaces and cobbled streets.
6061 aluminium alloy tubing and a collapsible trolley handle with a patented buttonless trolley grip make this design user-friendly, functional, and reliable without being unnecessarily weighty.
Two padded webbing handles, plus a moulded foot, serve as grab handles when unloading the bag from a plane's overhead compartment. This makes it quick and easy to grab and go if you're in a hurry.
The easy-to-pack, wide-opening main compartment offers plenty of storage for short getaways. You also get a padded zip pocket for glasses or toiletries, two interior mesh pockets, and a padded laptop sleeve on the front panel, which fits up to 16" laptops.
You can keep all your contents in place using the suitcase-style interior zipped mesh closure and tie-down straps. Lastly, an ID window allows you to attach your details so that your bag can be safely returned to you if it gets lost when travelling.
