What is the Trail 25?
The Trail 25 is perfect for mountain sports enthusiasts and Via Ferrata climbers who want a close-fitting backpack with plenty of space and quick access to gear without compromising on airflow. Comfortable and versatile, it has 25 litres of capacity and can cater to a variety of outdoor activities, including climbing, mountain climbing and trekking.
What is it made of?
The Trail 25 is created from a combination of 600D and 210D recycled polyester and polyamide. Robust enough to withstand regular use and abrasion from rough surfaces like jagged rocks.
The material is 100% recycled PET material and is PFC-free, meaning no per- or poly-fluorinated chemicals are used in the production process, as these chemicals would cause damage to the environment once released in wastewater from factories.
What back system does it use?
The Deuter Airstripe back system provides superior ventilation and a snug, comfortable fit. It uses two padded stripes that sit with the contour of your body, reducing the contact areas on your back. This creates a large ventilation channel and maximises airflow for lasting comfort, even in warmer climates.
A built-in, flexible Delrin® U-shaped frame surrounds the back panel for reinforcement and structure, helping distribute weight evenly.
The shoulder straps have an active fit and are ergonomically shaped, with soft edges and fully padded for comfort. They are secured in place by a precision adjustable sternum strap that is detachable.
Stabiliser straps on the front of the pack draw the top of the load closer to the body, whilst the waist belt helps balance the weight across your back. This waist belt is wider, making it more comfortable to wear when carrying a heavier load.
What are its features?
Lid Type: The flat-format lid allows space for your head to move unrestrictedly, even with a helmet on. The pack is fastened with a zipper at the top and a hook in webbing closure to the front mesh pocket.
Entry: The zip entry provides fast access to your gear. Each zip has a sturdy zip pull, making them easy to use, even when wearing chunky gloves.
Storage & Organisation: For storage, the zipped main compartment has plenty of room for a shell jacket, climbing shoes and lunch. An elasticated internal compartment is handy for separating clothes from your kit for quick and easy access.
A versatile stretchy mesh pocket on the front of the pack allows you to separate wet kit or stash items you might need to grab in a hurry. There's also a zippered valuables pocket on the top for smaller belongings, such as a mobile phone or wallet and a key clip to keep your car keys from slipping out on the trails.
Two stretch side pockets provide ample space to store water bottles, or if you prefer using water reservoirs, this pack is also compatible with a hydration bladder of up to three litres.
Designed for life on the trail, the Trail 25 has loops on the shoulder straps to keep Via Ferrata carabiners close at hand, yet securely out of the way. Attachment loops to the front of the pack provide easy storage of ice axes or walking poles when they are not in use.
To finish, Deuter has cleverly added an SOS label with printed instructions designed to help minimise mistakes during emergencies.
Compression Options: Compression straps on the pack's upper sides effectively reduce the load's movement for a comfortable and secure carry whilst manoeuvring over rocks and across crevasses.
Rain Cover: A detachable rain cover provides complete waterproof protection from the rain and features a bright colour scheme to stand out in adverse weather.
