ADJUSTABLE CARRYING COMFORT: Built for Various Back Lengths The Abisko Trek 65 features a fully adjustable carrying system that fits back lengths from 38cm to 52 cm (size dependent), making this trekking backpack suitable for various body shapes and sizes. A lightweight aluminium frame and a large, pre-shaped padded hip belt support the majority of the pack's weight without stress, making it a comfortable choice for long-distance treks and multi-day camping adventures.
What is the Abisko Trek 65?
It's a lightweight, hardwearing 65-litre rucksack ideal for trekking, backpacking and travelling in varied climates. With an abundance of functional pockets, a fully adjustable backsystem, a supportive hip belt and good air circulation, it's a well-thought-out and highly comfortable pack ready for adventure!
What is it made from?
Outer: The Abisko Trek is made from super tough 210D recycled ripstop nylon. It's highly abrasion-resistant to withstand the rigour of years of outdoor use. Made from 100% recycled materials, it's a more responsible choice than virgin nylon and is still just as tough and long-lasting. It's a win-win!
This durable face fabric is coated in PU and finished with a PFC-Free DWR (durable water repellant), giving the fabric a hydrostatic head rating of 1500mm, which will protect your belongings from unexpected light rain. For heavier showers, we'd suggest popping on the included rain cover.
Base: The pack's base is reinforced with exceptionally durable 500D recycled nylon, allowing this bag to hold up against a lifetime of scrapes, bashes and abrasion whilst hiking in the hills and exploring the mountains.
Lining: The Abisko Trek is lined with a smooth yet robust 100% recycled nylon lining. It helps the pack withstand the wear and tear of outdoor use whilst still being soft enough not to scratch more delicate belongings such as a phone and sunglasses whilst you're on the move.
What backsystem does it use?
The Abisko Trek offers ventilation and support with a padded and adjustable backsystem. It uses a lightweight aluminium frame and a large, pre-shaped padded hip belt to comfortably take the majority of the pack's weight without stress. The backsystem can be adjusted to fit back lengths from 38cm-52cm, allowing this pack to suit trekkers of various sizes and shapes.
Breathability is also essential for carrying comfort. Therefore, the Abisko Trek back panel is only padded on the upper and lower of the pack, leaving the middle virtually empty to allow air to flow freely behind.
The ergonomic shoulder straps, back padding and supportive hip belt all feature ventilating air mesh to improve comfort levels when trekking in warm climates.
What are its features?
The Abisko Trek features an abundance of pockets to help keep all your gear well-organised and packed comfortably throughout your adventure. There are ten pockets in total; these include inner mesh pockets, external mesh pockets, a large central main compartment, zippered external pockets and hip belt pockets.
The generous external mesh pockets have adjustable drawcords to allow you to store anything from tent poles to large water bottles or a trail stove inside. The hip belt pockets offer the perfect easy-access haven for trail snacks, a mobile phone and a GPS device.
The top lid features two zippered pockets and a bungee cord across the top for secure storage of additional layers that you want to easily access if the temperature drops. The lid is fully detachable and doubles as a handy hip pack for excursions when you don't want to lug around the weight of your full pack.
The Abisko Trek has three entry options: the classic top drawcord entry, bottom zippered entry and a large main compartment with a full front zipper opening for an excellent overview of the contents, minimising time spent trying to find something buried at the bottom. The main compartment can also be accessed on either side of the pack for easy access to your kit on the go. The bottom entry features a convenient divider, making it an ideal place to store your sleeping bag and mat or for keeping wet kit separate from the rest of your gear.
You'll also find an attachment loop for stowing hiking poles or ice axes on the pack and dual side compression straps to cinch in any dead space to help prevent contents inside from wobbling around.
Many will be glad to know this backpack is hydration compatible, meaning you can use a hydration bladder if you prefer them over bottles.
And finally, although this pack is water resistant, a handy rain cover is included to protect your belongings from getting wet when the heavens open.
